MIT spinoff Takachar processes waste biomass to reduce airborne emissions

After harvest, farmers worldwide generally burn the waste that remains, creating dangerous levels of toxic haze and wasting potentially valuable resources. The MIT spinoff company Takachar is providing technology that can be used in the field to convert that agricultural waste into a solid, clean-burning fuel.
